I would like to officially announce that our vocalist search is over. We would like to welcome Nicole Des Jardin as the newest Martini Gardener. Check back for a bio update and performance schedule as we are busy booking for 2007.

Bob will once again be teaching an Adult Guitar Class through Explor Adult Ed. Classes begin Feb. 6, 2007 and run for 8 weeks. THis will be the level 2 class so those of you who took level one and want to move forward should register.

Arts Rochester, located in the historic Gonic Mill is offering an Explore the Arts program, January 2nd through 13th. The program will consist of a two week sampling of special classes and workshops in Art, Dance, Theatre and Music. Classes offered are Stretch and Strengthen – high intensity stretching and strengthening exercises for the focused dancer (4 levels), Musical Theatre Workshop – dance and sing to “Step in Time” from Mary Poppins (ages 8 & up), CATS Workshop with professional dancer, Kimberly Lemieux, who just returned from the national touring company of CATS (2 levels), Cinderella Variations – learn the Fairy Variations from Act I of the classical ballet Cinderella (2 levels), Hip-Hop – high energy hip-hop choreography (3 levels), Audition Techniques and Preparation – learn the do’s and don’ts of preparing and performing for an audition, Improvisation – let go of written music and play freely in reaction to and with other musicians (all ages & instruments, 2 years experience), Songwriters Forum – bring a song to polish or ideas to create a new one (beginning/intermediate songwriters), Preschool Arts Sampler – students will experience music, dance and art (ages 3-5), Toddler Time – music, movement and stories (ages 1-3 with parent or caregiver), and Calligraphy – an introduction to the italic hand (teen and adult classes). Classes will be taught by Arts Rochester faculty, as well as, guest artists. Classes are available to all ages and abilities. Arts Rochester Gift Certificates are available. Bob will be running his Beginner Guitar Class through the Explore for Adult Ed program beginning October 3. The class runs for 8 sessions and is only $55 which includes the book. If you have been thinking of taking up guitar or want to dust off the one you put away when you were a kid register soon.
